Why join IDC?    

        The reason for IDC's existence is developing international understanding and fellowship.  This is developed through person to person interaction at conventions and international travel.  Participation in the conventions is where nearly all of the interaction occurs.  Traveling expands our knowledge of foreign cultures and history.  

        IDC also presents educational information at the convention seminars.  These presentations will always have an international flavor because of our presence in 19 countries.  We can no longer live in a vacuum of our regional issues.  What dry cleaners in one country are facing today, will be issues that all other countries will be facing in the future. This is one of the benefits of attending an IDC convention.  The exchange of ideas and the timely introduction of problems that exist over the horizon are presented at our pertinent educational sessions.

        The fellowship program is one of the corner stones of our promotion of international understanding.  Although IDC does not provide technical assistance as part of its mission, its members draw on the experience of many of the most successful operators in the world.  All members are very open to exchanging ideas and techniques that have been successful for them.  This kind of information is invaluable in keeping up with changes in our industry.  

        IDC is made up of some of the most wonderful people.  They are open, modest,  successful  and friendly people with whom it is a pleasure to travel the globe.
