I am privileged and excited to invite you to Ottawa, Ontario, the Capitol city of Canada, for this year's IDC convention. Ottawa is a very clean and beautiful city with many parks. The Rideau Canal (during the winter, the world's longest skating rink and the rest of the year a boating paradise) runs through the center of the city. You will be staying at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel, a 5 ½ Star historic hotel built in 1912 and located in the downtown center. (That's our hotel on the right in the photo above, with Parliament Hill to the left of it.) The Parliament buildings and several museums are within walking distance of the Hotel, as well as the canal with its beautiful walkway. Museums close by include the Canadian War Museum, Canadian Aviation Museum, Canadian Science and Technology Museum, Canadian Museum of Civilization, National Art Gallery and the Canadian Museum of Photography.
Ottawa also has a world-renowned farmers market (in walking distance) with hundreds of local agricultural products for sale. There is a large indoor shopping center right across from the Hotel. As always we will have excellent keynote speakers to give you the latest and greatest information. For those who like a Las Vegas environment, we have the largest Casino across the river in Quebec, with exciting shows, fantastic food, and gambling.
I encourage you to take advantage of this year's IDC convention. I can guarantee that you will not leave disappointed.
